Let's be real, the world can feel really scary, lonely, and joyless. No matter if you're working 12 hour shifts, going to school, or just trying to survive day-to-day, it can be hard to slow down and remember that there's still joy in just being alive. The Good News Gazette was born out of my own stress of the seemingly never-ending negative news cycle and the exhaustion of yet another bill falling out of my mailbox. Because why should adulthood only be filled with bills, junk mail, and news of atrocities I can't comprehend? If I'm forced to have those things, I want the joy that came from being a kid and ripping open an unexpected colorful envelope sent from a friend a few states away. Well, that's where the Good News Gazette Mail Club comes in!
❤︎ A physical and digital copy of the "Good News Gazette" magazine which features cute pets, good news, featured artists, action items, seasonal tips, and more! ❤︎ An original art print featuring a super cute disabled/chronically ill animal with a story of their own! ❤︎ An exclusive trading card of that month's featured animal ❤︎ 2 low-moderate energy activities which could include: coloring pages, word searches, journaling prompts, paper crafts, and more! ❤︎ A letter written and signed by me :)
Whether you want to show off your pet, highlight your art, share your good news, or ask a burning question, you can always submit to the Gazette
I'm glad you asked! Once you subscribe, you're subscribed forever-or until you decide to cancel your subscription. The price per month you see at the time you sign up is the price per month you'll pay forever. That means that even if the price increases for new members, you won't pay more! Then, once you're signed up, you just have to sit back and relax. Easy, right?
But let's chat logistics:
On the 15th of each month at 6pm CST, I unlist the Gazette from the store to pause subscriptions for that month. The listing will return on the 1st of every month and the next month can be purchased then. If you're already subscribed this will not impact your subscription and you will continue to recieve your mail.
This practice is because subscriptions are sent out the third week of the month and if you were to purchase a subscription after they were sent out, you'd be charged for a month you'd never recieve. Unfortunately, this platform does not allow for me to close the listing temporarily or offer a "pre-purchase" option, and all alternative web platforms I've found with these features do not align with my morals. If you missed this month's subscription and would like to join in the future, be sure to join the email list to be reminded when the listing opens again!
I, Faye Perez, create all of the materials including the "Good News Gazette," the art prints, the trading cards, and the activities. I utilize Canva Pro to format and design the Gazette. Most included prints are collages of my own hand-drawn animals, Canva Pro assets, and other commercial use assets that I have edited and arranged into an original art print. No AI is used in any part of the creation process and all of my Canva's AI powered features have been disabled.
However, I can't take credit for everything! Many parts of the Gazette are powered by member submissions. Those members retain ownership over any creative work they submit and are always credited for their work. Be sure to follow them at any socials they list!
